As a reminder, participants who will be taking distributions are required to receive a 'Special Tax Notice' at least 30 days prior to taking their distribution.
recordkeepers provide them upon online request. Many Plan Sponsors provide the notices directly. If you provide them to your participants, please note as of 2026, there is a new notice. Contact me for assistance.
